Building towards Fjellheisen 2.0

As we look ahead to an exciting winter at Fjellheisen, we’re also in the midst of some important upgrades to our facilities. While construction is ongoing, a few temporary changes will affect access, parking, and mobility at the lower and upper station.

We want to make your visit as smooth as possible, so please take a moment to review the latest practical information below. Your safety and comfort are our top priorities, and we appreciate your patience and understanding during this transition period.

During the construction period, we are unfortunately unable to accommodate wheelchair users or visitors with walkers (rolators). We regret this temporary limitation and appreciate your understanding.

‍Temporary Café

We warmly invite guests to stop by for a drink and pastry at our temporary café at the top of the mountain, while taking in the breathtaking views.. It is no longer possible to go out to our original viewing platform at the upper station. We recommend our visitors to come inside to enjoy the amazing view of the city from above!

How to get there?

By private car:
Parking of private cars is currently not possible at the lower station. Designated parking for private cars and busses is available for free at approximately five minutes walk away from the lower station. Please follow the signs to the correct location.

Address temporary parking: Solstrandvegen 30, 9020 Tromsdalen.

By Shuttle Bus:
Take the Fjellheisen Shuttle Bus departing daily (from Oct 15th) from the Tourist Shop Tromsø Havn from 10:00 – 17:00.

Address departure point Shuttle Bus: Storgata 94, 9008 Tromsø

On foot:
Walk from the city center of Tromsø to the lower cable car station in Tromsdalen in about 45 minutes.

By taxi:
Take a taxi from the city center of Tromsø to the lower cable car station in Tromsdalen.

By public transport:
Download the Svipper App and travel by bus to the Fjellheisen lower station.
